OUR VINEYARDS

The vineyards that produce the grapes used in our wines can be found in the Municipal of Manacor and are protected by the D.O. Pla i Llevant.

They are our property and are produced exclusively to garantee the best quality grapes in size and ripeness. Along with other special treatments only carried out an ecologic products. The age of our wines varies from 2 years to 45 years and are produced in 6 estates:

Es Poas Es Rafalot Son Caules                                         Es Morro Son Nadal Sa Granada

The vineyards Es Rafalot and Son Caules are planted on stoney ground with very little organic matter, that way we obtain a high quality with very low production.

From 1985 we've elaborated grapes of both native and foreign stock, making up a great number of varieties altough some are still in experimentation:

• Mallorcan: Manto Negro, Callet, Prensal Blanc

• National: Perellada, Macabeo, Tempranillo, Garnacha Blanca y Tinta, Moscatel de Málaga y Xarel·lo

• Foreign: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Riesling, Moscatel de Alejandría, Gewürztraminer, Malvasia, etc.
     

The noble varieties Riesling and Chardonnay reach their maximum quality in the beatiful valley "Es Morro" where the particular climate (absence of frost, less hours of direct insolation, etc) permit the grapes to develop acids and sugars in a slow and lengthy manner, not possible in the rest of Mallorca, resulting in its special aroma.
