Surface area: 1.2537 Hectares
Soil characteristics: Non-irrigated. Loamy textured, with a basic pH (7.89) and a low organic matter content (1.12%), making this a soil with little sensitivity to compaction and possessing good drainage. The basic pH means that there are few trace elements essential for the vine, such as iron, manganese, boron and zinc, available for it to absorb, so it is advisable to apply these at some point by foliar application or irrigation (if carried out) during the year Given the levels of active lime (10%) and other constraints, we decided to use rootstock R-110 and SO-4.
Climatological characteristics: Mediterranean climate characterized by temperate winters with moderate rainfall, hot dry summers, and autumns and springs, which are variable both in terms of temperatures and rainfall. It has the distinguishing feature of a northeast-southwest-facing valley which means that it receives fewer hours of direct sunlight and that the grapes therefore ripen more slowly, conditions more usually suited to northern grape varieties.
Varieties: Moscatel, Riesling, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier.
Wines produced: Dolç de Sa Vall, Sa Vall- Selecció Privada-, Golós Blanc, Chardonnay Roure, Chardonnay Roure –Selecció Especial-, Torrent Negre, Petit Torrent and Dolç des Morro.
