Sweet wine which spends years ageing in barrel. Dense and full-bodied, its raisin and honey aromas make this something special to enjoy with ensaimada, robiols and all types of sweet Mallorcan pastries.

Description

   Grape varieties: Callet 50%, Tempranillo 30% and Muscat 20%

   Growing system: “En vaso” bush training and espalier training

   Vineyard location: Manacor and Felanitx area

   Type of wine: Table wine

   Alcohol content: 14 % vol.

   Residual Sugar: 105 gr / l

   Fermentation: Temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

   Ageing: 12 months in 3 year old French oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing.

   Tasting Notes: Wine made in the traditional Majorcan manner, mixing white and red grapes and evaporating the juice to reduce it to half. No alcohol or sugar added. Its colour is that of a good brandy. It possesses aromas of candied orange peel and toasted hazelnuts. The alcohol is not obvious on the palate, the wine is fresh and not at all cloying.

   Food pairing: pairs very well with desserts, especially with puff pastries, cakes, Catalan cream and typical Easter pastries.

   Serving temperature: between 6- 8 ºC
